This is why I stopped liking Nagi in the manga. He acts like he's committed to one girl but gets jealous when other guys pursue the other girls in his harem.

Oh no, a teenage boy with no experience romantically is conflicted about his emotions for the girls around him. Bro that's kind of expected and realistic irl, especially for the dramatic purposes of an anime.

By this point, he has already made it clear to Erica he doesn't see her romantically. And she not only shares the same sentiment but tries to help him score, as seen in this episode.

You don't understand that he doesn't even recognize his feelings yet? He's acting this way despite "pursuing" segawa because he himself doesn't consciously know he feels "something" for erika. Erika also has the same problem as far as slight romance entering her brain that shows pretty much every episode but if you want a clear example from this one, rewatch the scene where they accidently took another photo together.

I mean this is all pretty obvious man, its pretty typical in real life and is a rampant romance trope in movies, books and anime?

that doesn't happen irl like never

Yeo bro you have a great understanding I appreciate that

He's walking it back to stretch the story. Besides, accountably for his words and actions is a thing he has to learn too. And overused tropes gets stale once you've seen them used one too many times.

But if this is what you like, then to each their own.

Sure overused tropes can get stale but you didn't exactly frame your comment from the pov of hating the trope you framed it from a lack of understanding of the trope, and also as I said this isn't exactly anything new or uncommon in real life either, so you can see it as "excuses" for a character or you can see it as a flawed child/teenager doing his best to figure out his confusing emotions.

The walking it back to stretch the story however is most likely just the author shilling/being pressured or paid by his publisher to keep the story going tbh, no one sane likes that shit.

Now, this is how people should take the look on the series.
Before people comment on the "mishaps" of the show, people should look at it at different perspectives for us to have better understanding on what we watch.

Seeing how Hiro's feels like she doesn't deserve to be happy or that nothing she does well change her fate has to be brutal! 😤

So it's going to be another of those anime where MC tends to like the girl he didn't want to get in relationship and forget about the one he actually likes 😶

BRUH MOMENT • 10 months ago
